Maintenance Services:
Spring Cleanup:
Clean up all established lawn and landscape areas to remove winter debris. Rake poor turf areas and over seed as required. Inspect and prune shrubs and ornamental trees from winter injury. Edge all of the established beds. Clean up stone and sand on the edges of the lawn and all paved areas.
Lawn De Thatching:
This consists of running a machine with fine blades or tines over the lawn area to assist in the removal of thatch and old unhealthy grass, which is then raked up and removed from the lawn. This will result in improved fertilizer absorption, better rooting and a greener healthier lawn.
Tree / Shrub Fertilization:
Deep root feed all the ornamental trees and shrubs with an organic fertilizer to encourage root and shoot growth.
Mulching:
Supply and install bark mulch throughout newly edged areas to create a beautiful and clean landscape. Mulching will enhance growth and protect trees and plant beds.
Activation and Winterization of Irrigation system:
System turned on and checked for leaks. Individual zones and heads on each zone checked for proper operation. Clean grass from around heads if necessary. Battery will be reinstalled and clock programmed. System will be winterized at the onset of freezing weather. Compressed air will be blown through system to remove water from lines. Repairs performed on a time and material basis.
Spring Annuals:
Spring annuals will be installed upon customer request.
Weekly Lawn Cutting, Trimming, and Maintenance:
Weather permitting, mow season commences on May 1st and terminates October 15th and includes approximately 26 visits. Mowing is done on a weekly basis. This service includes mowing turf, trimming around buildings and walkways, and blowing clippings off all walkways and driveways. Maintenance includes weeding of beds on a bi weekly basis.
Irrigation System Summer Checkup:
Each individual zone will be checked for proper activation. The heads on each zone will be checked for proper activation and grass will be cut from around heads if necessary. The controller program will be checked and adjusted accordingly. Repairs performed on a time and material basis.
Lawn Fertilization:
Lawn areas will be assessed and proper fertilizer applied five times during growing season. This includes a late spring grub control application.
Pruning of Plant Material:
All plant material will be pruned twice during the growing season or in accordance with the specific plant variety needs. All clippings removed and areas raked and cleaned.
Lawn Aeration:
This consists of plugging hollow tines into the soil surface and pulling out a soil plug. Vital exchanges can now take place: oxygen, for root growth enters the compacted layer and carbon dioxide escapes. Water can penetrate to the roots carrying essential nutrients and flush out toxic salts.
Lawn Compost:
Spread organic compost over lawn after aeration to add essential minerals to lawn which aids in growth over the winter months.
Fall Cleanup:
Leaves will be raked and removed from property. Lawn areas will be mowed. Trimming will be done around buildings, walkways, and trees. All refuse hauled from property.
Fall Annuals:
Fall annuals will be installed upon customer request an include mums, flowering kale, and/or flowering cabbage.
