Renovation at Goose Rocks

Even you favourite pair of old jeans eventually need to be replaced. That is what occurred at this site on the water in Goose Rocks. The homeowners had enjoyed the property for many years but decided that it was time to renovate the property and add elements they had always wanted.

The main feature of the original landscape was an old stonewall across the front yard. It was falling down and no longer made the statement in once had. The entrance to the front door was understated and too narrow to be safe. Walkways needed replacing and concrete walls needed removal to soften the look of the property.

Salmon Falls rebuilt all of the walls incorporating new stone with the old stone. We increased the size of the walls to provide the impact they had lacked. The front entrance steps were widened and low voltage lighting added to provide safety. Massive sweeps of perennials were used to provide color as well as fragrance. New features added were an outdoor shower, more annual color, and fencing to contain the owners’ rambunctious dogs.

The landscape once again provided impact and was more in tune with the sensitive coastal environment.
